Scenario: A billboard by the road advertising something that someone believes is fantastic
The situation: The billboard owner/advertiser is hoping that someone will see the advert and walk/call the shop and buy. That is a visual message must convert to a sale. The billboard message can be seen as a continuous pressure function that gets converted to a continuous sales function. To really understand the situation we need to understand the conversion mechanism from seeing to buying. We also need to be able to predict behavior. Mathematically we can understand this problem by considering some transfer function in the Z-plane and solving it at discrete time points |
